Exploring our connection to food.
I was just like you when I started—nervous about cooking, but constantly curious. Now with years of training I’m here to help you start your own culinary journey.
I have a passion for cooking, particularly healthy vegan food and think of food I create as not only for nourishment and sustenance, but also as love and medicine.
Our planet is in peril, so my desire is to help budding vegetarians/vegans, earth stewards and health conscious human beings who may not have the time, skills, or knowledge to prepare healthy, locally sourced, organic, humane and thoughtfully balanced meals.
I receive my bounty from farmers markets, Berkeley Bowl, Farmer Joe's, and my own garden.
Services I offer include weekly food prep of your desired numbers of breakfast lunch, dinner and dessert via home delivery, or nightly/weekend food preparation in your home, or rent a chef for small dinners to larger parties. In our initial conversation by phone, in person or video, I would find out about your goals, any dietary restrictions, allergens, likes and dislikes, lower salt/sugar/spiciness, or higher fats/flavor/spiciness, and interests in types of cuisine such as raw, gluten free, types of ethnic cuisines, or meals for children. I know there are plenty of corporations and entities providing meal deliveries, but mine will be personal, customizable, collaborative, from gourmet to budget conscious, with no plastic waste and feature reusable jars and/or compostable containers. From short term to longer term services, I can provide recipes, guides and instructions for when you are ready to prepare meals for yourself and your family.
Happy cooking and eating.
Love, Xoan

“I always assumed making pasta from scratch was too advanced. But once I learned, I couldn’t stop. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to store-bought pasta.”
